Acciai Speciali Terni: Two steel groups interested in purchase
In the final sprint to sell Italian flat steel producer AST, two groups are still in the bidding process, according to media reports. JP Morgan, the consulting firm commissioned by AST parent ThyssenKrupp with the sale process, is expected to receive the binding offers in the next few weeks.
Marcegaglia and Arvedi still in the race for AST
Since AST is to be sold by ThyssenKrupp, the two Italian steel groups Marcegaglia and Arvedi have made no secret of their intention to take over the Terni-based flat steel producer AST.
Originally, a total of 10 companies were said to have been interested in taking over Acciai Speciali Terni.
