A leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan today (Jan. 28) announced its new prices for February, with the price increase in line with market expectations.

Domestic prices for 304 and 430 HR and CR increase
According to the price adjustment, domestic prices for 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled were increased by NT$6,500/ton and those for 430 hot-rolled and cold-rolled by NT$4,000/ton. The surcharge for 316L was kept unchanged.
Export prices rise significantly in some cases
The export price for 304 was increased by US$200/ton, for 430 by US$160-200/ton, and the surcharge for 316L by US$30/ton.
Increase due to higher raw material and production costs
The stainless steel mill made this decision to increase prices due to a significant increase in the cost of imported materials and its own steel production. The increase in the price adjustment this time was higher than in the previous month.
