Political statement on the current government crisis in Germany by Thorsten Gerber
8 November 2024 – In my perception, and probably not only mine, we have the most damaging head of government for Germany since the end of the Second World War.
The sovereign has to watch helplessly as the morally unjust acting Federal Chancellor clings to his seat purely as an election campaign tactic. It is disgusting that he wants to push the leader of the opposition into an obvious trap, which both the red and green parties would use as an election campaign weapon in the aftermath.
Because this should be obvious to everyone: if Friedrich Merz were to do what he actually had to do, it would be like Christmas and a birthday all in one day for the Red and Green parties to be able to claim that the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and the FDP are now cooperating with parties that were previously considered to be out of the question.
Olaf Scholz, put an immediate end to this disgusting spectacle. You are not acting worthy of your mandate.

Politisches Statement zur aktuellen Regierungskrise in Deutschland von Thorsten Gerber
8. November 2024 – In meiner und vermutlich nicht nur meiner Wahrnehmung, haben wir aktuell den für Deutschland schädlichsten Regierungschef seit Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs.
Der Souverän muss hilflos zusehen, wie der moralisch zu Unrecht regierende Bundeskanzler aus reiner Wahlkampftaktik heraus an seinem Sessel klebt. Es ist widerwärtig, dass er den Oppositionsführer damit in eine offensichtliche Falle drängen möchte, welche sowohl Rot als auch Grün als gefundenes Wahlkampffressen im Nachgang verwenden würden.
Denn so viel dürfte jedem einleuchten, wenn Friedrich Merz das tun würde, was er eigentlich tun müsste, wäre es für Rot und Grün wie Weihnachten und Geburtstag an einem Tag behaupten zu können, die CDU/CSU Fraktion als auch die FDP kooperieren nun doch mit Parteien bei denen es bis dato als ausgeschlossen galt.
Olaf Scholz machen Sie sofort Schluss mit diesem ekelerregenden Schauspiel. Sie agieren Ihrem Amt nicht würdig.
