LME aluminum stocks have almost halved since mid-2024
Aluminum stocks on the London Commodity Exchange LME have almost halved since mid-2024. While they still stood at around 1.08 million tons in June 2024, stocks have now fallen to around 0.57 million tons. With an average price of 2621 $/MT, aluminum also reached its highest level since June 2024 in February.
SMEs must remain the focus of the European Union
During the current session week of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Thorsten Gerber, CEO of the Gerber Group, was once again able to stand up for the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe and, in particular, for the concerns and needs of metalworking companies.
In various discussions with members of the European Parliament, he campaigned intensively for better and, above all, a level playing field for SMEs, particularly in the face of the market-distorting dominance of European steel mills.
