Rebar producers adopt prices for April

Rebar producers in the region have carried over offer prices from March into April without any changes. A large steel producer is offering Rebar for $690 a ton ex-works at the moment.

Purchasers in the Gulf region are still waiting for steel prices to fall. Market trends in recent weeks have seen prices continue to rise. A major collapse in steel prices is not seen in the market at the moment.

Is there soon a threat of a material shortage in the Gulf?

Added to this are production cutbacks for steel in China and an Indian market that is increasingly focusing on itself and has no great interest in exports. Not good conditions for more favorable prices. Those who wait too long could soon be faced with the problem that no more material is available or it cannot be delivered on time.
