Domestic prices for hot-rolled steel coil (HRC) in Northern Europe continued to rise on Thursday, March 4, due to a shortage of strip and strong demand, sources told Fastmarkets in a recent article.

Daily index for hot-rolled coils

Fastmarkets calculated its daily index for hot-rolled coil, domestic, exw Northern Europe on Thursday, March 4, at 894.73 per ton, up $1.49 per ton from €893.24 per ton on March 3, based on achievable prices ranging from $882 to $906 per ton ex-factory.

The index also rose $17.89 per ton on a weekly basis and $47.72 per ton on a monthly basis.
