EU and UK stock markets start the week on a positive note

The stock markets in Germany, France, Italy and the UK got off to a positive start to the week today, Monday. The Chinese Hang Seng Index moved sideways today.

Will the Bank of England keep key interest rates stable?

The Bank of England’s interest rate decision is due on Thursday in the UK. Analysts expect that the base rate will not be adjusted. The inflation data does not yet allow for this. However, the press conference on the decision could allow conclusions to be drawn about the future interest rate path.

Goldman Sachs raises year-end target for the S&P 500 to 5,600

Goldman Sachs has raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 Index from 5,200 to 5,600 in 2024, citing the strong earnings growth of five mega-cap US tech stocks and a higher fair value multiple for the price/earnings ratio.
