
EU Safeguard measure on certain steel products remains in place
2 June 2023 – Sources report that the European Commission today sent the results of the latest EU Safeguard investigation to the WTO. As we had already expected and reported, the Commission’s reasoning states that, under current circumstances, an early termination of the Safeguard measure is not justified.
“As will be explained below, the Commission concluded that, under current circumstances, the early termination of the safeguard measure would not be justified.”
