November 18, 2021 – The European Commission (EC) has today imposed final anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel products from India and Indonesia. This means that anti-dumping duties of up to 35.3% will be imposed with immediate effect.

EC imposes anti-dumping on flat-rolled stainless steel
The European Union has today, 18 November 2021, brought into force the anti-dumping measure (AD 670) against imports on certain flat-rolled stainless steel products from India and Indonesia. The AD duties, effective immediately, are up to 35.3% for Indian stainless steel producers and up to 20.2% for Indonesian stainless steel producers.
EU steel producers can prevail with demands
As expected, the European Commission has thus met the demands of EU steel producers who see stainless steel imports from India and Indonesia as a threat to the European market.
Stainless steel still in short supply in the EU
With the AD 670 anti-dumping measure in force, the shortage of cold-rolled stainless steel products on the European market is likely to continue.
