The dollar gained after a Journal report that Janet Yellen was backing away from Trump’s “weaker dollar is better” stance.

Dollar has risen more than 1.5%
As the Wall Street Journal reported in a recent article, the dollar has risen more than 1.5% against a basket of other major currencies since its recent low. And in doing so, has disappointed expectations of a falling greenback in 2021. Some investors and analysts expect any strength to be short-lived.
