SHANGHAI, Jan. 18 – Steel futures closed higher in daily trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange on Monday. This was reported by china.org.cn.

The most active contract for structural steel for May 2021 delivery rose 24 yuan (about 3.70 U.S. dollars) to close at 4,392 yuan per ton.
The most active contract for May 2021 delivery for hot-rolled coils, mainly used in automobiles and appliances, rose 7 yuan to close at 4,503 yuan per ton.
