ArcelorMittal has increased its offer for hot-rolled steel coil in Europe for second-quarter deliveries to €730/mt with immediate effect, an increase of €30/t from the official offer at the end of last year. This is reported by argusmedia.com in a recent article.

CRC and HDG also increased
The company has also increased its offer for cold-rolled steel coil to €820/t, while the offer for hot-dip galvanized coil has been raised to €850/t with immediate effect, also for second-quarter deliveries.
Lead times for coated strip already at August 2021
The offer for hot-dip galvanized strip is €50/t higher than at the end of last year and is supported by extended lead times – one mill has informed its customers that the lead time for coated strip now extends into August.
Automotive purchases drive hdp steel coil prices
Some customers have already paid more than €800/t base for galv – HDG demand has been strong in recent months due to the sharp increase in automotive purchases.
